Belgian police has warned people not to use the new buttons known as Facebook Reactions to protect their privacy .
In February , Facebook launched six new ways to react to a post , together with the Like button .
These new buttons were intended in part as a way to respond to calls for a " Dislike " - allowing people to share their feelings about the messages without saying that like what is said or posted .
But Belgian police now say the country is using them as a way to collect information about people , so that in their profiles appear more targeted ads .
Therefore , it has warned people that they should avoid Reactions using buttons if they want to maintain their privacy .
