Foxconn is one of the largest companies in the production of electronic devices , including those from Apple and Samsung . The company recently made an investment that increases productivity by automatically replacing workers with robots 60,000 .
Because profits are higher with less worker at the plant , the company reduced staff numbers from 110,000 to 50,000 workers. This change makes the costs of workers' wages fall dramatically . Meanwhile , in a statement Foxconn has denied that robots will reduce human work saying the company is working towards increasing the intensity of auto production.
