Twitter will not count as characters pictures and the links in tweets

Twitter is making a big difference in how it counts the characters in tweets done within the social network , giving users more freedom to write longer messages .

The social network will soon stop innumeracy the links and photos , as part of its limit of 140 - character messages , tuhhet according to a person familiar with the matter .

Change can happen in the next two weeks , said the person who preferred to remain anonymous because the decision is not public yet .

Link currently take up 23 characters, even after Twitter automatically shortens them. The company declined to comment for this change .
